A project idea I had in the 90s was to attempt to map the streets in my town of Maidstone, Kent in the United Kingdom using pictures...around 1998 was I the first to do this? We all know of google streetmaps now, but who was the first to try this on the web? I initially had the site hosted through Claranet, but I now have it copied here. I chose the names seeyourway.co.uk and cyourway.co.uk as my starting point.. Just a camera and simple webpage editing using hotmetal to start with... long hand.
